The Management Consultant reengineers business processes to drive efficiency and optimize the client's business, within a function, industry, technical and/or digital area.

 

Health & Public Services professionals design, implement and deploy packaged software solutions that have been developed to accommodate unique Health & Public Services industry business and management processes, regulatory requirements and other business needs.  Role has responsibility for key care management metrics around length of stay, excess days, and level of care. Working directly with clients c-suite.  Will manage the care management staff / department to meet defined goals in these key metrics.  A professional at this position level within Accenture has the following responsibilities:

  • Adapts existing methods and procedures to create possible alternative solutions to moderately complex problems
  • Understands the strategic direction set by senior management as it relates to team goals
  • Uses considerable judgment to determine solution and seeks guidance on complex problems 
  • Primary upward interaction is with direct supervisor
  • May interact with peers and/or management levels at a client and/or within Accenture
  • Determines methods and procedures on new assignments with guidance. 
  • Decisions often impact the team in which they reside
  • Manages small teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Accenture
Job Description:

Responsibilities of the Clinical Operations Performance Improvement Consultant may include:

  • Working on transformational initiatives across complex, large-scale health care Payers or Providers and for contributing to the design and implementation of solution offerings
  • Shaping and delivering Clinical Operations Performance Improvement projects across Care Management, EHR Optimization, Capacity Management, Standardization of Care and Clinician Engagement offerings and services
  • Designing and developing business processes to ensure the achievement and sustainability of improved outcomes
  • It is our intention for our people to work where they live.  However, in the context of our profession and serving our clients there may be times when you will need to travel.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of Healthcare Industry experience in a clinical background, RN preferred  
  • Minimum of 1 year of Provider experience, specifically within Performance Improvement
  • Minimum of 3 years project management experience; Able to engage at senior levels/manage/lead teams
  • Ability to meet travel requirements, when applicable
  • Bachelor's degree
Preferred Skill Requirements:
  • Critical thinking skills in order to develop and implement key deliverables
  • Project Management Operations skills
  • Solid computer skills 
Professional Skill Requirements:
  • Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment 
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment 
  • Desire to work in an information systems environment 
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
