The Security Change Management Consultant works across multiple IT initiatives and AFS special projects to assist with the execution of a comprehensive Security communications and training plan, ensure stakeholder support, and commitment to the change strategy. Key activities will include liaising with key stakeholders to confirm the plan, managing the development of communications materials (including emails, workshops, videos), and managing communications and training across impacted initiatives.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Identifies and manages key stakeholders through a Change Agent Network
  • Develops and presents content to Change Agents
  • Engages on a regular basis to assess level of commitment and direct activities to increase awareness and buy-in of Security initiatives
  • Works individually and supports team members to develop materials in support of Change Campaigns for multiple projects and work streams
  • Develops stakeholder communications (i.e., streaming communications, newsletters, and agency-wide newsletters) for all Security-related initiatives
  • Develops or researches content to support development of change deliverables
  • Develops infographics and short videos marketing Security initiatives and behaviors
  • Manage training activities related to Security initiatives and behaviors
  • Facilitates end-to-end cycle from SME content collection to review/approval cycles
  • Develops end-user support materials and short learning courses on new Security tool or business process implementations
  • Develop a continuous improvement program for managing program and employee requirements post go-live
  • Proactively monitors, manages and reports on progress of change deliverables development
  • Develop surveys to determine effectiveness of communication channels

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of Change Management experience working primarily in the areas of Communications, Stakeholder Management and Training design/delivery; OR 6 years of Changement experience in leiu of a degree.
  • Demonstrated experience using Sharepoint as an operational  tool for document and task management
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Create and manage a Change Management Plan to include a Communications Editorial Calendar, Training Strategy and Deployment Plan, and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Organizational Communication, Marketing, Business Communications or Journalism

  • SharePoint design experience

  • Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment

  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment

  • Desire to work in an information systems environment

  • Experience in a system implementation environment

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
